Highly sensitive people are known for seeking purpose in everything they do. In fact, I know I do. Due to our rich, deep inner lives, we have a tendency to plan out every tiny detail of our future. Ask me how a perfect week looks like in my life and I’ll give you a detailed description. 

To me, that ideal future always seemed far away and like a dream. Never in this world would I have thought that I’d be able to set steps towards reaching that goal. However, I managed to do so. How? With a lot of hard work and support from the law of attraction!

What Is The Law Of Attraction?

According to SuccesConsciousness, the law of attraction is ‘the attractive, magnetic power of the Universe that draws similar energies together’. It sounds pretty vague, huh? However, this is backed up by science; even the law of gravity is part of the concept of the law of attraction.

The idea behind this? As similar energies are drawn towards each other, our thoughts and ideas attract similar people, corresponding situations and circumstances. Have you experienced moments in your life where everything seemed to go wrong for a very long time? Chances are that law of attraction has been playing a role here. However, this also works the other way, when you set out positive energy, you’ll attract positivity.

How Does The Law Of Attraction Work?

This sounds amazing, right? So how does the law of attraction work? In fact, it can be as simple as performing specific methods to raise your vibe, which I elaborate on further below in this blog. However, it is not as easy as sitting down and repeating these techniques without actually working towards your goals. 

See the law of attraction as a powerful tool to raise your vibration and provide you with the energy that you need in your work towards your goal. I’ll give you an example:

A while ago, I sat down with my boyfriend and told him about my concerns in relation to our financial situation. Since I just started out as an entrepreneur, money has been tight and every penny had to be invested right back into the business. I told my boyfriend that I really needed more clients now in order to be able to pay my bills. In fact, I was desperate. 

The next morning, I woke up and I said out loud: “Today I will create meaningful relationships that will help me to grow my business.” I repeated this a couple of times and sat down afterwards to find new jobs/clients. Within 24 hours, I connected with 3 wonderful businesses who were interested in my services and landed a great job that offered me peace and calm. 

Simply by switching my energy from negative to positive before going job hunting, I managed to set further steps towards my big goal. Would I have created these meaningful relationships with new clients simply by sitting down and affirming my desires? No! However, by first visualizing what I was working towards and then going into action mode, I realized this goal. Before starting my day, I created the habit to get into a positive mood.

Law Of Attraction Methods

Now you might wonder if the law of attraction works for you too. It definitely works for everyone who puts enough work into it! Here are some methods that you might want to try to realize the law of attraction for you.

1. Gratitude

Happy thoughts raise your vibe and result in you feeling and thinking more positive. In order to realize these happy thoughts, you might want to use gratitude. Gratitude is a powerful way to be happy for the good things that are already in your life. Often, we go through our daily lives without recognizing all the things to be grateful for. By sitting down several times during the day to write down your gratitude, you’ll soon start to reprogram your brain patterns and thoughts towards positivity. This new positivity will attract positive opportunities and situations. Law of attraction, baby!

2. Affirmations

Another way to feel more positive about yourself and what you set your heart on, is to write down affirmations. Affirmations are short sentences that describe your desires and positive aspects of your character. They are supposed to lift you up and hence, raise your vibe. As a result, you’ll feel more confident and positive. This positive energy will again attract more positive things.

3. Visualize

If you want to get real specific about what you want to attract, you might want to write down your desires. Try to be as specific as possible about what your ideal future looks like. Then envision the feeling that you’ll feel once you have achieved this goal. Try to hold onto that feeling throughout the day, and repeat visualizing your ideal future as often as possible. It is all about the energy you send out to the universe.

4. Find An Object That Visualizes Your Dream/Goal

Another powerful tool to apply the law of attraction in your daily life, is to find an object that represents your dream. Everytime, you look at that object, you’ll remember why you do what you do and keep working towards that dream. That object should at any time give you a dreamy and motivating feeling, so select it carefully. For me, my object actually is a symbol, which I got tattoed on my leg. It reminds me every day that my biggest dream is to connect highly sensitive people and build a unique and safe place for them in our society.

5. Declutter Your Life

In order to make room for your dreams, you need to let go of things that cause negativity. This can be everything from jobs, objects or living situations to people and relationships. As these energies don’t match your vision and desired positive energy, it is important to let them go peacefully and move on.

6. Let Go Of Doubts

The biggest thing standing between you and your goal are doubts. Specifically, self-doubts. These are driven by your fear, which tries to keep you in your comfort zone. Let go of them or simply acknowledge them and demystify them! Write down your limiting belief and where it comes from. Then, write down a contradiction to this statement which you’ll use as your affirmation when these doubts pop up in your mind. For example, turn “I’ll never find a job that fit my needs as a highly sensitive person” into “I am capable to find a job that fits my needs as a highly sensitive person”.
