It begins with preparing your tea. Carefully select a tea that speaks to you, boil the water and pour it gently into your favorite cup. Then, find a calm space in your home or preferably on your front porch and sit down. Just enjoy the surroundings, take a sip of your tea every now and then and be in the here and now. Don’t look at your phone, the newspaper or the tv. This is external input that ruins the effect of mindfulness, as it takes you away from the present.
