<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><strong>In this short read, you&#8217;ll discover which food helps you to support your fitness goals effectively.</strong></p>

<p class="yoast-reading-time__wrapper"><span class="yoast-reading-time__icon"><svg aria-hidden="true" focusable="false" data-icon="clock" width="20" height="20" fill="none" stroke="currentColor" style="display:inline-block;vertical-align:-0.1em" role="img" xmlns="http://www.w3.org/2000/svg" viewbox="0 0 24 24"><path stroke-linecap="round" stroke-linejoin="round" stroke-width="2" d="M12 8v4l3 3m6-3a9 9 0 11-18 0 9 9 0 0118 0z"></path></svg></span><span class="yoast-reading-time__spacer" style="display:inline-block;width:1em"></span><span class="yoast-reading-time__descriptive-text">Estimated reading time: </span><span class="yoast-reading-time__reading-time">3</span><span class="yoast-reading-time__time-unit"> minutes</span></p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Even without being a nutritionist, you know what good food is and what it can do for your body.&nbsp;</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">To reach your fitness goals, it’s not just about how active you are. All of the proper training in the world will have a lesser impact if you are not fueling your body in the best way.&nbsp;</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Working with a personal train like <a href="https://alexklurfeld.com/"><strong>Alex Klurfeld</strong></a> is a great way to get started on your fitness journey. But the better you are prepped, the better your results will be!</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><em>So when we talk about good food or healthy food, what do we mean?&nbsp;</em></p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"></p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading" id="h-calories">Calories</h2>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The body processes different foods in different ways. So, for example, 1000 calories in pizza and 1000 calories in a chicken or tofu salad will be used and stored differently.&nbsp;</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">So when you are talking about eating fewer calories, it’s not just about eating less; it’s about eating better calorie options.&nbsp;</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The number of calories you eat will de be decided by your <a href="https://hisensitives.com/blog/how-to-maintain-your-workout-momentum/"><strong>fitness goals</strong></a>. If you want to gain muscles or bulk up, then generally, you will eat more.&nbsp;</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">If you are trying to lose weight, you will eat a little less or have a diet plan to follow.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"></p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading" id="h-whole-grains">Whole&nbsp;grains</h2>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Unless you are on a regiment directed by your trainer, you should be fueling up your tank before working out. A fasted state can offer long-term health benefits, but they are still being studied.&nbsp;</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Whole grains offer a massive bump in your steady energy levels &#8211; and that is what you want to have a good workout.&nbsp;</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Eat an hour before you work out to get the most from this food.&nbsp;</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"></p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"></p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading" id="h-bananas">Bananas</h2>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">If you usually have a midday workout and fit in a session between work, then fueling correctly might not be possible.&nbsp;</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">A simple banana 10 minutes before you start your workout gives you a healthy and natural energy boost.&nbsp;</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"></p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading" id="h-fatty-fish">Fatty Fish</h2>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Initially, when taking control of your diet, you might be tempted to say no to fatty fish since you are talking about fat.&nbsp;</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Yet, some fats, like the fat found in fatty fish, are essential for our bodies to run well.&nbsp;</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Salmon, herring, and mackerel are the go-to choices when it comes to a portion of fatty fish. Eating this will help with hormonal imbalances and aid in muscle and growth recovery.&nbsp;</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"></p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading" id="h-watermelon">Watermelon</h2>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Watermelon and a tasty way for some extra hydration offer <strong><a href="https://www.webmd.com/vitamins-and-supplements/l-citrulline-uses-and-risks">l-Citrulline</a></strong>, a crucial amino acid, reducing muscle soreness after a workout.&nbsp;</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Not only is it tasty, but it can add a boost of sweetness to your smoothies, salads, or just by itself.&nbsp;</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"></p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"></p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading" id="h-cottage-cheese">Cottage Cheese</h2>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">If you are looking for a low-calorie snack that is super high in protein, cottage cheese is a winner.&nbsp;</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Not only is cottage cheese reasonably prices, but it is straightforward to carry around. Depending on the brand you choose, you can get up to 13 grams in ½ a cup.&nbsp;</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"></p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading" id="h-olives">Olives</h2>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Eat them alone or add them into pasta and salad. Olives offer a high-fat, low-carb snack; training in a<strong> <a href="https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC5384055/">high-fat, low-carb state is shown to potentially improve endurance</a></strong>. Olives are also an excellent snack for those who are on a keto diet.</p>
