I've been struggling with the concept of friendships for a long time. I seem to attract folks who find me easy to dispose of. I am currently working through some things that may be causing this. For example, a few years ago, I decided that gossiping didn't feel good and dropped that. But it seems that I am disrespectful in other ways (I care a lot and can "go from 0 to 100" fast).

I love some of the points you've made here and look forward to coming back to this article on a day off work to further reflect on what I may be doing to drive folks away. Life hasn't been kind these past few years when it comes to friendships and despite wanting to recluse myself, I keep stumbling across articles like this one.

Thank you for taking the time to write it.
